We are looking for a reliable, organized, and proactive individual to join our team as an Online Sales & Storage Operations Coordinator. This hybrid role combines managing online sales (primarily via eBay) with overseeing day-to-day operations of a small self‑storage facility.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling both digital tasks (such as online listings and customer service) and hands‑on responsibilities (like fabric handling and allowing customer access to storage units). We are seeking someone who lives locally and can look after the dispatch of any sales and also drive new business - the role is suitable for people based in Wyke or on the Isle of Portland.
Hours can be flexible to deal with post and courier dispatches or storage customers occasional needs. A suitable applicant should have reasonable computer skills and ideally a good understanding of eBay working.
Key Responsibilities
Part 1: Online Sales Dispatcher
- Process and dispatch online orders, primarily through eBay.
- Optimize product listings: adjust titles, update pricing, improve images, and set accurate postage costs.
- Cut and prepare fabric items for sale, updating stock counts accordingly.
- Sort and organize cut fabric using SKU systems into clearly labeled crates.
- Take high‑quality photos and videos of products for listings.
- Monitor and respond to buyer enquiries or eBay cases, including defect resolutions like Item Not Arrived.
- Conduct market research to maintain competitive pricing.
Part 2: Storage Supervisor
- Provide access to indoor storage units for customers Monday through Saturday.
- Handle rental paperwork and assist new tenants with account setup and payment details.
- Check and maintain accurate customer payment records weekly/monthly.
- Assist with customer queries related to payments or unit access.
- Market and advertise available storage units.
- Ensure the onsite forklift is charged and operational, and manage its use to maintain accessibility.
Required Skills & Qualities
- Strong organizational skills – especially for managing stock, fabric crates, and storage unit access.
- Fast and accurate with hands‑on tasks such as cutting fabric and preparing orders.
- eBay knowledge – understanding of the backend system and how to liaise with eBay support.
- Customer service skills – polite and helpful in dealing with both online and in‑person customers.
- Reliable communication – must be reachable Monday to Saturday.
- Self‑management – ability to work independently.
Preferred Skills & Qualities
- Marketing mindset – ability to advertise available storage units and attract new tenants.
- Basic accounting skills – to manage rental payments and customer records.
- Forklift proficiency – trained or confident using a forklift (training can be provided if needed).
