Job summary

Wienerberger Ltd. is seeking a Stockyard Team Leader at the Goxhill site in North Lincolnshire. You will lead a small team with a practical, hands-on approach and ensure staff are trained to operate machinery, while delivering a reliable service to haulage partners and customers.

The role requires prior leadership experience, a valid forklift license, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Competitive pay and benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading a stockyard or similar team.
• Valid forklift license (RTITB/ITSSAR/NPORS/CPCS) with recent use.
• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication and IT literacy.
• Able to balance busy workloads and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a small stockyard team with a hands-on approach.
• Ensure training and record-keeping for machinery operation (FLT’s, heat shrink guns).
• Coordinate with haulage partners, customers and field sales for timely service.
• Work with distribution teams to pick, pack and wrap products for collection.
• Balance team structure with equal distribution of responsibilities.
• Maintain housekeeping and QA standards; report hazards promptly.
• Foster continuous-improvement culture across the team and wider business.

Join us as a Stockyard Team Leader at our Goxhill site in North Lincolnshire

Wienerberger Ltd manufactures and provides wall, roof and landscaping products for the construction sector. We offer innovative and sustainable solutions across the whole building envelope for new build, renovation projects and across the building industry.

About the Role

As Stockyard Team Leader, you will lead and motivate a small team through a practical and hands on approach.

Duties also include:

• Ensure that the Stockyard team have been fully trained to operate machinery (including FLT’s and heat shrink guns) whilst maintaining training records
• Lead your team in providing a helpful and efficient service to our haulage partners, customers and field sales
• Work closely with distribution teams to facilitate the timely picking, packing and wrapping of all products prior to collection
• Orchestrating the team structure ensuring that each team/member have an equal share of responsibilities
• Maintain an excellent standard of housekeeping in accordance with our PIP targets, highlighting any concerns using the quality and hazard reporting process
• Encourage and develop a culture of continuous improvement within the team and contribute to improvements across the wider business.
• Continually challenge the status quo to drive further improvements

Thissiteproduces roof tiles, supporting our manufacturing of high-quality building materials across the UK.

This position is based at ourGoxhillsite, which isnear to Barrow-Upon-Humber, Barton-Upon-Humberand East Halton, easily commutable fromScawby, Grimsby, Immingham, andHessle.

Due to the site location, it is accessible by personal vehicles only. Free parking is available.

Hours of Work: 7.30am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday

About You

• Previous experience working as a Stockyard Team Leader or similar
• Current / valid RTITB, ITSSAR, NPORS or CPCS forklift truck license with recent driving experience within the last six months
• Previous experience of managing and leading a team
• Experience of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Good mathematical skills
• Good IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Excellent communication skills verbal and written
• Must be organised, efficient and reliable
• Adaptable / flexible approach
• Must be literate as there is some paperwork involved
• An understanding of QA standards and the importance of consistent high quality in manufacturing
• Good general safety awareness
