Job summary

Company Shop Group is seeking a Stock Controller for the Ambient & Chilled Warehouse in Tankersley, Barnsley. You will manage stock from receipt to dispatch, run stock counts and adjustments, and report root causes to drive corrective actions across teams.

You will follow Health & Safety procedures, coordinate with other departments, and maintain accurate stock records in Navision. This permanent, full-time role is 40 hours weekly with a night-shift premium.

Qualifications

• Good IT skills across varied applications.
• Knowledge of warehouse management and stock control systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV would be an advantage.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge & experience with administrative tasks.
• Ability to liaise positively with various other departments.
• Be accurate, organised and able to manage conflicting work demands.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Be self-motivated and have good prioritisation skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that all Health and Safety procedures are followed and encouraging others to do the same.
• Active reporting of Health and Safety near misses.
• Prioritise and organise the workload to maximise departmental productivity.
• Activate item setup, price changes & promotions within Navision, addressing non-scanning SKUs.
• Conduct physical & system stock integrity counts against supplier advice and goods in booking.
