Job summary

A leading beverage company based in Greater London is looking for a Stock Controller to take ownership of the stock control function. This hands-on role involves managing inventory accuracy, ensuring adequate stock procedures are followed, and minimizing obsolete stock. The candidate will also conduct cycle counts and work alongside the Warehouse & Distribution Manager to implement best practices within the stock management system.

Job description

Job Title : Stock Controller

Reports to : Warehouse & Distribution Manager

Depot : LWC London

Objective

Take ownership of the stock control function, making it your own and being responsible for the integrity of all stock on site. Be hands on with the storage of stock, changing bin locations. Ordering of all stock for the site ensuring sufficient stock levels to satisfy changing demands, trends and seasonality when required to cover holidays and unplanned absence.

Main duties of role
  • Ensure accuracy of goods in checking, the checking of delivery notes against POs, and the accuracy of deliveries being booked onto the system. Raising any queries with suppliers in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for accurately matching deliveries against invoices and querying any overcharges.
  • To manage and minimise obsolete stock.
  • To ensure cycle stock takes carried out in line with policy.
  • Investigate and provide data report on discrepancies losses and damages.
  • To ensure adequate stock control procedures are followed to protect company assets.
  • To continuously review methods and seek ways to implement best practice.
  • To evaluate systems and work with Company Distribution Manager to implement best practice.
