Designer Recruitment are seeking an experienced Buyer / Stock Controller to join a leading plumbing and heating merchant based in Surrey.

This role is paying up to £36,000 per annum for the right candidate.

The Role:

• Managing stock control processes, ensuring accurate levels and availability of key products.
• Sourcing, purchasing, and negotiating with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and reliable supply.
• Monitoring sales trends to forecast demand and maintain efficient inventory levels.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
• Supporting day-to-day operations to ensure a smooth supply chain process.

The Candidate:

• Previous experience as a Buyer, Stock Controller, or Purchasing Assistant within theplumbing, heating, or wider merchant sector.
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
• Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
• A proactive, hands-on approach and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
