As the successful Production Planner, you'll play a key part in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials and components through the production process, supporting both the stores and production teams.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the receipt, storage, and issue of goods, ensuring accurate inventory records.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare components for production in alignment with schedules and BOM requirements.
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of production kits, and manage the return of unused stock.
  • Maintain accurate stock levels using MRP systems, escalating any discrepancies or shortages.
  • Support ongoing continuous improvement initiatives across stores and production control processes.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience in a production control or stores-based role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Strong understanding of inventory systems (MRP/ERP) and stock control procedures.
  • Good communication and organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
