Location: Croydon, South London

Shifts: Monday - Friday - 37.5 hours per week, flexible start times!

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum

You will be joining their team on a crucial industrial site in Croydon, playing a key part in maintaining plant reliability within this trend-setting business.

This is a full-time, permanent position where you will be the lynchpin for site inventory. Your primary purpose is to ensure all essential parts are available, cost-effective, and optimally managed to support the Engineering and Operational teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement & Cost Control: Proactively purchase all necessary parts at the lowest possible cost, managing a maximum stock hold level to ensure efficiency.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee a computerised stock control system, managing the inventory of high-value/plant critical spares for your designated Energy Recovery Facility (ERF).
  • Inter‑Site Liaison: Coordinate with alternative company sites across the UK to ensure the overall company stock levels are well‑managed and in check.
  • Relationship Building: Maintain a professional approach when liaising with, negotiating with, and managing suppliers, contractors, and internal teams.

We are looking for a flexible, self‑sufficient individual who is comfortable working autonomously and committed to upholding high standards of plant reliability.

Essential Requirements

You must bring proven Stock Control or Inventory experience from a demanding environment such as a manufacturing, production, or high‑volume industrial site.

  • A strong understanding of purchasing principles and practices.
  • Confidence in contacting, negotiating with, and identifying alternative suppliers to secure the best prices.
  • Demonstrable experience with computerised stock control systems and knowledge of health and safety requirements.
  • Experience in accessing and utilising larger databases for national suppliers and company accounts.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and experience with a major CRM/ERP platform (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365, Salesforce, Oracle NetSuite, SAP, etc.).
