Temporary Surveyor – Social Housing Surveys (Hull)

Project: Social housing stock condition surveys

About the Role

Our client is seeking a temporary surveyor to assist with stock condition surveys across a single estate in Hull. They manage social housing stock and work to maintain, improve, and modernise properties through planned maintenance, stock condition surveys, and improvement programmes. These surveys are part of ongoing property management and improvement programmes. The work is pre‑determined and pre‑booked, with up to 8 surveys per day. The surveys are general stock condition inspections and are essential to help the organisation plan maintenance and improvement works efficiently. The role is initially scheduled to start in December.

Experience
  • Previous experience completing stock condition surveys, ideally in social housing or residential properties
  • Comfortable carrying out occupied property inspections
Skills
  • Able to follow pre‑populated templates and record inspections using a tablet or app
  • Take clear photographs and record survey findings accurately
  • Organised, reliable, and able to manage multiple surveys per day
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with tenants and contractors
Other Requirements
  • Full UK driving licence
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct pre‑determined stock condition surveys in occupied properties
  • Record findings and photographs using survey software
  • Complete approximately 8 surveys per day in line with pre‑booked schedules
  • Support the completion of all planned surveys across the area
