Job summary

Sellick Partnership is seeking a Stock Condition Surveyor to support a housing organisation on a 6-month contract in Gosforth. You will carry out stock condition surveys, building pathology assessments and prepare technical reports and costed schedules of work.

The role requires knowledge of Building Regulations, CDM Regulations and health & safety legislation, plus a relevant degree (or DEA). UK driving licence and experience in social housing are advantageous.

Qualifications

  • Experience carrying out stock condition surveys within a social housing, residential or property environment.
  • Strong knowledge of asset management, building surveying and building pathology.
  • Experience producing technical reports and providing specialist surveying advice.
  • Knowledge of Building Regulations, CDM Regulations and health & safety legislation.
  • A relevant degree, professional qualification or equivalent surveying experience.
  • Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) qualification.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Experience within social housing would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out stock condition surveys, building surveys and specialist property inspections.
  • Undertake damp & mould, disrepair, HHSRS and building pathology assessments.
  • Produce technical reports, specifications, risk assessments and costed schedules of work.
  • Validate and maintain asset data to support investment and regeneration programmes.
  • Identify building defects and provide practical technical solutions.
  • Liaise with internal teams, contractors and external stakeholders to obtain approvals and deliver projects.
  • Monitor asset performance and identify opportunities to maximise investment and improve housing stock.
  • Support compliance with Building Regulations, health & safety legislation and social housing standards.

6-Month Contract

Sellick Partnership is currently recruiting for an experienced Stock Condition Surveyor to join a well-established housing organisation on a 6-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a surveyor with experience in stock condition surveys, building pathology and asset management to play a key role in supporting investment planning and maintaining high-quality housing stock.

Key Responsibilities of the Stock Condition Surveyor:
  • Carry out stock condition surveys, building surveys and specialist property inspections.
  • Undertake damp & mould, disrepair, HHSRS and building pathology assessments.
