Job summary

The Range in Plymouth is hiring a Stock Analyst to join our Head Office team. You will analyse stock movement to reduce loss, identify risks, and drive performance through data-driven insights.

Work across Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, IT and Loss Prevention to improve stock management and reporting. The ideal candidate has strong data analysis skills, advanced Excel, SQL knowledge, and experience in retail or logistics.

Qualifications

• Experience in data analysis, stock control or loss prevention.
• Advanced Excel skills with formulas, pivot tables and reporting.
• SQL knowledge and experience querying multiple databases.
• Strong attention to detail and methods to identify discrepancies.
• Problem-solving and ability to present clear insights to stakeholders.
• Experience collaborating across multiple departments to support loss prevention objectives.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyse, and interpret data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities related to stock loss and operational inefficiencies.
• Monitor stock movements and investigate discrepancies and unusual activity.
• Produce and maintain reports, dashboards, and scorecards with insights into loss prevention performance.
• Conduct root cause analysis on loss-related incidents and work with stakeholders to implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Store Ops, Supply Chain, Finance, IT and Security to support loss prevention initiatives.
