Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Lab Specialist - Stimulation to support laboratory testing, sample analysis, and data interpretation for stimulation technologies.

You will collaborate with engineers and lab teams to maintain standards, improve processes, and ensure quality across testing programs. Candidates should have a chemistry-related degree and strong analytical skills, with a focus on safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Materials Science, or related scientific discipline.
• Experience in laboratory testing, sample preparation, data analysis, and test equipment operation.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Independent worker on routine and moderately complex assignments.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate laboratory documentation.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Team player with ability to support junior colleagues.
• Commitment to quality, safety, compliance and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory testing, sample collection, processing and analysis while following HSE policies and procedures.
• Review SOPs, propose improvements, ensure safe and accurate testing.
• Record, manage and maintain laboratory data in designated databases with quality.
• Inspect, calibrate, troubleshoot and maintain laboratory equipment; escalate issues as needed.
• Design and execute testing programs and protocols to meet customer requirements.
• Analyze and interpret results; prepare reports and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on development, field testing and RCA investigations.
• Coach and support junior lab personnel and contribute to special projects.
