Responsibilities
- Assist with line management of Safety Stewarding workforce.
- Manage the stewards email inbox.
- Book and arrange Safety Stewards cover for each fixture at Kingsmeadow Stadium & Stamford Bridge via the PARiM App.
- Liaise with Operations Officers/Senior Operation Officers to organise cover for each fixture at Kingsmeadow Stadium & Stamford Bridge as appropriate.
- Manage Safety Stewards Training and Development programmes including the arrangements of said training and bookings with the Learning & Development Team and external partners. Training will include set mandatory elements, PL & FA specific and Clubs led initiatives.
- Assist in preparing Match Day Safety digital assets/paperwork for each fixture.
- Assist in overview of Match Day Safety planning and coordination.
- Manage Safety Stewards Payroll each month in line with payroll cut off deadline.
- Manage the calculation and submission of the Safety Stewards Bonus to Payroll.
- Escalate any Customer/Safety Steward complaints to the Operation Officers/Senior Operation Officers in line with the correct business protocol.
- Assist with Match Day Accreditation process for all of the Match Day Safety Team and Safety Steward workforce.
- Assist with managing Purchase Orders and invoicing for the department.
- Managing and maintaining the workforce database; Scheduling System and Safety Stewards Clock-In System.
- Manage the recruitment, selection, and onboarding of Safety Stewards with the HR/Talent Acquisition Team.
- Manage match day equipment itinerary including medical equipment requests, staff equipment, uniforms, personal protective equipment, and accreditation liaison.
- Supporting Safety Steward Communications from the HR Team via email or links to documentation.
- Assist with new departmental projects and initiatives.
- To perform any other reasonable ad-hoc duties to help the performance of the Match Day Safety Department function effectively and efficiently.
- Excellent timekeeping and attendance.
- Excellent communication skills especially with operational departments, the Human Resources Department, and our Safety Stewards workforce.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on being a team player.
- Attention to detail with excellent organisation and administrative skills.
- Ability to work to deadlines and to focus on being efficient.
- Understanding key elements of regulation around areas of work.
Personal Specification
- Ability to organise, prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Experience of working in a demanding, high pressure, elite sports environment is desirable.
- Event planning experience is desirable.
- Sound decision making.
- Good written and verbal skills.
- Good IT skills with the ability to learn and manage a number of different systems.
- Good understanding of Microsoft 365 package.
- Ability to supervisor staff.
- Ability to build professional rapport with the Safety Stewards workforce.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and within demanding timescales.
- Ability to work under pressure in a demanding practical role.
- Continuous Professional Development will be expected.
- 25 days annual leave (+ Bank Holidays) After three years' service, AL days increase to 28.
