Job summary

A leading global healthcare provider in Lincoln is seeking staff for flexible roles in processing sterile consumables. Responsibilities

  • Ensure effective preparation of sterile consumables according to quality standards.
  • Check, wash, lay up, and pack sets of theatre instruments per specifications.
  • Safely operate washing and disinfecting machines.
  • Log repairs and missing instruments in the tracking system.
  • Return repaired instruments to stock as required.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Ensuring the effective preparation of sterile consumables (dressings, linen, instruments and equipment) by the process of decontamination, inspection assembly and packing within predefined quality standards.
  • Rigorously checking, washing, laying up and packing sets of theatre instruments to meet contract specifications within predefined quality standards.
  • Safely operating and monitoring machines and equipment (washer/disinfectors, ultrasonic and sterilisers) effectively.
  • Ensuring that repairs and missing instruments or equipment are recorded and logged on the Tracking and Traceability computer system (SynergyTrak).
  • Ensuring that repaired instruments or equipment are returned to stock or the appropriate coded sets or the Trust's appointed person.
