Circle Health Group in Bristol is seeking a Sterile Services Technician to join the Decontamination team on a 37.5-hour, permanent basis. The role covers decontamination, assembly, packing, sterilisation and delivery of medical equipment to operating theatres and clinical departments.

You will work within a 24/7 service with rotating day/night shifts, and you must be willing to learn, work as part of a team, and meet health and safety requirements, including Hepatitis B immunisation.

Responsabilités

• Provide first-class decontamination sterile service to Operating Theatres and clinical departments.
• Assist in decontamination, checking, assembly, packing, sterilisation and delivery of equipment to customers.
• Maintain good relationships with customers and promote health & safety within the department.
• Ensure equipment is maintained to safety standards and report faults to Team Leader/Manager.
• Assist Team Leaders in liaising with departments to ensure supply of items is maintained.
• Maintain Health & Safety requirements for staff and visitors.
• Comply with mandatory training.

Sterile Services Technician

Circle Decontamination – Bristol

37.5 Hours & Permanent

Salary: Up to £25,886.43 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

Circle Health Group Decontamination is responsible for the provision of sterile equipment and instrumentation for use in surgical and interventional procedures in hospitals across England and Glasgow. The unit operates 24 hours a day/7 days a week with rotating shifts covering days and nights as required.

We have an opportunity for a Sterile Services Technician to join their team of staff in the Decontamination department. This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of This Role Include

• You provide a first-class decontamination sterile service to the Operating Theatres, clinical departments and relevant paramedical departments.
• You assist in the provision of decontamination, checking, assembly, packing, sterilisation and delivery of medical and surgical equipment and sundry items to/for the customer.
• You maintain good working relationships with all customers.
• You promote and maintain Health & Safety within the department.
• You ensure all equipment is maintained to the required standard of safety, reporting any faults to Team leader/Manager.
• You assist the Team Leaders in liaising with departments to ensure supply of items is maintained.
• You maintain the accepted Health & Safety requirements for the protection of staff and visitors.
• You comply with all relevant mandatory training.
