Job summary

Circle Health Group Decontamination in Glasgow is hiring a Sterile Services Technician to join the team on a 37.5 hour per week, permanent basis. The unit runs around the clock and rotates shifts between days and nights to support surgical and interventional procedures.

As part of the Decontamination department you will follow SOPs, maintain records, work with colleagues to meet deadlines, and complete mandatory training including Hepatitis B immunisation.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to follow procedures precisely.
• Flexibility to work variable hours, including weekends, evenings, and shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all stages of the decontamination process including cleaning, checking, assembling, packing, sterilising, and dispatching reusable surgical and medical devices.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure all items meet required infection control and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate records of all processes undertaken, including batch and load traceability data, in line with departmental documentation requirements.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure effective team performance and meet service deadlines.
• Participate in all mandatory training and professional development required for the role.

This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties Of This Role Include
