Job summary

Croydon Health Services NHS Trust is looking for a motivated Decontamination Technician to join the team at Croydon University Hospital. You will be responsible for reprocessing, inspecting, packing and distributing reusable medical devices in a busy decontamination unit.

The role requires physical fitness, ability to work as part of a team, and flexibility to cover evenings, weekends and on-call shifts. Training and safeguarding procedures are emphasised, with a focus on patient safety.

Qualifications

• GCSE/O level or equivalent in English and Maths.
• Able to handle equipment with bodily fluids and perform manual handling.
• Thorough documentation and accurate record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Accurately reprocess and distribute medical devices for patient use.
• Able to work on own initiative or as part of a rota.
• Work in line with Quality Management System and safety procedures.
