South Tyneside College is seeking a motivated STEM Technician to support delivery of practical learning across STEM subjects. The role focuses on preparing workshops, equipment and resources, and assisting staff and students in hands-on activities.

You will ensure safety, maintain equipment, and help create engaging learning environments that develop industry-relevant skills. The post is permanent, full-time (35 hours per week) with the Professional Services Salary Scale 3 (spine 8–11), £24,946

Competenze

• Holds a recognised qualification at Level 2 or above in Computing, Engineering or Motor Vehicle.
• English and Maths Level 2 qualifications.
• Strong practical workshop skills and safety awareness.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Flexible and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Commitment to equality, diversity and safeguarding.
