CBTax is hiring a high-performing R&D Technical Consultant to translate complex technical work into robust R&D tax relief claims for global clients. You’ll sit with engineers and scientists, turning technical insights into audit-ready reports and guidance on compliant submissions.

This role suits a STEM graduate who enjoys problem solving, explaining technical concepts clearly, and engaging with clients to unlock funding for innovative projects.

Qualifications

• A STEM degree or related technical discipline is required.
• Strong analytical and technical writing skills are essential.
• Ability to distil complex concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with clients to uncover and assess eligible R&D activities.
• Conduct technical interviews and on-site visits with R&D teams, engineers and scientists.
• Analyse complex technical processes and write compelling technical reports.
• Partner with tax and compliance teams to ensure high-quality submissions.
• Keep up to date with guidelines to ensure all technical content is audit-ready.
• Advise clients on best practices for documentation and record-keeping.

In This Role You Will
