An Excellent opportunity has arisen for a Steel Production Operator based in Witham to start ASAP. This is a temporary to permanent role.

  • Hours: Monday - Thursday 07:00 - 15:30, Friday 07:00 - 14:00
  • Benefits include:
  • £13.97 PER HOUR plus bonus after 12 weeks
  • Overtime Available
  • Annual Christmas shutdown up to 2 weeks
  • Above statutory annual leave
  • Free on site parking
Responsibilities
  • Operate all relevant bending machinery, tools, and equipment and undertake production tasks safely and in accordance with instructions
  • Physical/manual work including movement and lifting of steel bars
  • Complete production activities in order of priority
  • Set up or adjust equipment according to manufacturing specifications
  • Monitor the quality of output to identify, discard or re-manufacture faulty products
  • Maintain accurate daily production records so that manufacturing performance can be analysed
  • Using measuring tapes
  • Operate Overhead crane (Training provided)
  • This role involves heavy lifting and manual work within a heavy industry steel environment
