Job summary

SkyBlue Solutions is seeking a skilled Steel Fixer to support diverse construction projects in Ipswich, UK. Role focuses on steel fixing, rebar installation and interpretation of drawings to ensure accurate assembly on site.

Applicants should hold a CSCS card and prove right to work in the UK, with readiness to complete PQTP and HSE CITB tests. A CDL or heavy machinery experience is a plus for this position.

Qualifications

• CSCS card is required to access sites.
• Proof of Right to work in the UK is required.
• Pre-Qualification Technical Profile (PQTP) is required.
• Onboarding requirements form must be completed.
• HSE CITB Test must be completed.
• Proven experience as a Steel Fixer or similar role in construction environments.

Responsibilities

• Familiarity and experience with site operation and the techniques of Steel fixing.
• Experience of installing, bending and erecting rebar
• Experience at selecting correct steel specifications.
• Competent at selecting materials for a task and inspecting their suitability.
• Able to read, interpret and work from drawings and schedules.
• Operate power tools including drills, grinders, and welding equipment to join steel components securely.
