Steel Cutting Operative

Location: Tullos, Aberdeen

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role

An established industrial business based in Tullos, Aberdeen, is looking to recruit an experienced Steel Cutting Operative.

The successful candidate will be based primarily at the Aberdeen site and will also support off-site decommissioning (decom) projects as required. This is a hands‑on role within a safety‑critical industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oxy-propane cutting of steel tubulars, pipework, and large steel structures
• Dismantling and processing steel materials safely and efficiently
• Working to strict health, safety, and quality standards
• Supporting off-site decommissioning projects when required
• Working as part of a team to meet operational targets

Requirements

• Proven experience using oxy-propane cutting equipment
• Strong understanding of health and safety in industrial environments
• Comfortable working outdoors and in physically demanding conditions
• Willingness to travel to off-site projects when required
• Experience in steel processing, oil & gas, heavy industry, or decommissioning is advantageous
