Qualifications

  • 3+ years post qualification, having qualified at a top 10 accounting firm.
  • Knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS 101, IFRS, and US GAAP.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.

How we work:

We follow a hybrid working model, spending an average of three days per week in our office located on Gresham Street next to St Paul’s cathedral with easy access to public transport via St Paul, Bank, Cannon, City Thameslink, Liverpool, Farring, Mansion House.

The impact you will have:
  • Supporting the preparation and delivery of annual statutory accounts for multiple subsidiary legal entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, compliance with relevant accounting standards and local company law.
  • Collaborating with business units, cross‑functional teams and external auditors to gather required information for statutory account preparation.
  • Assisting in the review and challenge process of annual accounts prior to delivery to external auditors, ensuring quality and compliance with regulatory standards and facilitating resolution of review comments and finalisation procedures.
  • Ensuring proficiency in the financial reporting tool Workiva and providing training or knowledge transfer to new users and team members.
  • Documenting the process and controls over the financial reporting process, including memo and detailed analysis of key and judgemental reporting topics in line with relevant accounting and reporting standards.
  • Providing support to the line manager and team in maintaining and monitoring subsidiary statutory reporting requirements.
  • Assisting in the preparation and submission of various non‑statutory reporting (statistics and surveys) in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with reporting deadlines.
  • Contributing to process improvements and efficiencies in reporting processes, including the implementation of best practices and automation where possible.
  • Staying updated on accounting and regulatory changes affecting reporting requirements, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
  • Aiding ad‑hoc reporting projects and tasks as assigned by the line manager or senior management from time to time.
What we’re looking for:
  • Professional accounting qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CPA or similar).
  • 3+ years post qualification, having qualified at a top 10 accounting firm.
  • Extensive knowledge of accounting principles and technical accounting skills (UK GAAP, FRS 101, IFRS, US GAAP 김 advantage) including regulation governing financial reporting (UK Companies Act 2006 and Irish Companies Act 2014).
  • Proficient in drafting clear and concise disclosures and accurately preparing and analysing financial statements, including preparing technical accounting analysis and memos.
  • Proactively engaging in staying updated on changes in accounting standards, regulations and industry best‑practice through ongoing professional development and training.
  • Understanding and appreciation of financial controls.
  • Experience with financial reporting tools (Workiva) and HFM is an advantage.
  • Strong analytic skill and problem‑solving skill with the ability to think strategically and deliver results.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision.
  • Ability to work under time pressure and manage multiple projects and prioritise tasks to meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience in working with multi‑cultural and remote teams and successfully collaborating with cross‑functional teams including finance, legal, tax and external auditors.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
