Job summary

Cardiff University is seeking a Research Assistant (Grade 5) or Research Associate (Grade 6) in Statistics to join the Centre for Trials Research. The post involves contributing to the design, management, analysis, publication and dissemination of research within a large, multinational team.

The role requires knowledge of randomized clinical trials, multivariate techniques and statistical software, plus excellent communication skills and a commitment to research quality.

Qualifications

• Good first degree with a major statistical component.
• Experience in designing and analysing clinical studies is desirable.
• Strong IT and written/spoken communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design, management, analysis, publication and dissemination of research.
• Work on studies involving a wide range of statistical methods.
• Communicate statistical ideas effectively to non-statisticians.
