Job summary

A leading technology services company is seeking a Level 4 Technician to handle planned maintenance on CCTV and other key systems. The role requires working nights (Sunday to Thursday) and previous experience in a related field with knowledge of network systems. Strong organisational skills and a full UK Driving Licence are essential. This position offers development opportunities within a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance on CCTV and other systems.
  • Report and fix station communication faults.
  • Utilise field IT equipment for maintenance data.
  • Maintain systems using specialist tools and test equipment.
  • Liaise with the Service Centre for task updates.
  • Complete maintenance activities on schedule.
  • Work nights, Sunday to Thursday 10pm-6am.

Job description

The successful Level 4 Technician will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance activities and assisting with reactive or planned maintenance on CCTV, CIS, PA, SISS (Station Information and Security Systems). The role is to work nights, Sundays to Thursday 10pm to 6am and cover stations in Slough, Taplow and within the M25. The successful candidate will ideally be based inside the M25.

What you’ll do
  • Attend planned or remedial maintenance tasks for CCTV, PA Public Address Systems or Passenger Help Points.
  • Ensure SISS station assets are well maintained, and station communication faults are reported and fixed.
  • Utilise field IT equipment to provide real‑time corrective, remedial or planned maintenance data.
  • Use specialist tools and test equipment to maintain systems to specification.
  • Liaise with Telent Service Centre for tasking, fault updates and completions.
  • Complete maintenance activities on communications systems against the defined schedule.
  • Opportunity to gain an IRSE Licence for Safety Critical Systems.
  • The job holder will be required to work nights, Sunday to Thursday 10pm‑6am.

You’ll have previous experience within a similar role or have CCTV, IP address knowledge, or come from an electrical background and ideally have an understanding of Network Rail health & safety procedures/processes.
