A local government authority in England is seeking a motivated individual for a Station Manager position within the Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership and be responsible for operational command and incident resolution. This role includes various commitments to values-driven leadership and requires adherence to the Fluency Duty for effective public communication. Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service has 1 or more vacancies for motivated and committed individuals at Station Manager level. You will need to be an exceptional values‑based leader with the vision to drive the Service forward on its improvement journey. The skills and requirements of the role include a commitment to our values and behaviours and empowering and enabling leadership. We may also require you to be on our operational command rota and be able to resolve operational incidents at a tactical level (Level 2 Incident Command). Officers must be available to attend Warwickshire incidents and be no further than 10 minutes from the County boundary when on duty.
Candidates will need to demonstrate their professional competence and leadership behaviours as defined in the NFCC Leadership Framework (Leading the Function) and Core Code of Ethics. The Fluency Duty is outlined in the Code of Practice on the English language requirements for public sector workers. The Fluency Duty for this role is Required. You must be able to speak and provide advice in accurate spoken English to the public.
