Position Overview

Randstad C&P are working with an established FM company who is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join their regional team. This is a site-based role based in Washington.

Contract Details

• Fixed term contract 12 months (potential to go permanent)
• Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Responsibilities

• As a key member of the engineering team, execute a comprehensive planned and reactive maintenance program.
• Carry out electrical planned preventative maintenance to ensure reliability and safety of all electrical systems.
• Conduct routine inspections, testing and servicing of plant and equipment including motors, control panels, switchgear and lighting systems.
• Perform statutory inspections such as fixed wire testing and Portable Appliance Testing, and maintain accurate records of all activities.
• Diagnose faults and perform reactive repairs on a wide range of electrical equipment and systems.
• Ensure work is fully compliant with the latest IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) and other relevant industry standards.
• Oversee the work of subcontractors and provide recommendations.
• Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation and promote a safe working environment.
• Provide technical and professional support to management.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3
• LVL qualified Electrician
• ECS Gold card or JIB Approved
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in building services and plant engineering, with at least 5 years as a maintenance craftsman.
• Strong communication and computer skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to participate in an on-call rota.
