Job summary

Starbucks is seeking a Store Manager to lead a busy retail store, driving sales, service excellence, and operational standards. You will manage day‑to‑day operations, coach a team, and ensure quality, safety, and presentation across all shifts.

You will role‑model exceptional customer experiences, build a positive culture, and Deliver consistent results while prioritising staff development and welfare. DBS check will be funded by EG Group.

Qualifications

• Previous management experience within a retail, hospitality, or customer-facing environment.
• Strong leadership and people development skills.
• Focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences and maintaining high standards.
• Commercial awareness with ability to manage performance and budgets.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Flexibility to cover varied shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a Starbucks store to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain brand standards.
• Drive sales and control costs, inventory, and waste across daily operations.
• Coach, mentor, and develop the store team to achieve performance goals.
• Oversee staffing, rosters, and training to build a high-performing culture.
• Create a welcoming environment where customers and colleagues feel valued.

A Typical Day as a Store Manager:

• Lead your store to success by ensuring exceptional operational standards and delivering consistent excellence across customer service, food safety, hygiene, and Starbucks brand expectations.
• Drive store performance through effective inventory management, stock control, merchandising, and regular reporting to keep the store running efficiently and delivering strong results.
• Identify opportunities to improve performance by reducing waste, managing labour effectively, reviewing processes, and implementing action plans that support business goals.
• Take ownership of commercial performance through responsible cash management, budget planning, expenditure control, and making informed decisions that support store growth.
• Build and develop a high-performing team by coaching, mentoring, and creating a positive and inclusive environment where colleagues feel supported to grow and succeed.
• Recruit, develop, and inspire talent by attracting great people, planning rotas effectively, and motivating the team to deliver exceptional service and maximise opportunities.
• Create a culture of recognition and accountability by celebrating success, supporting colleague wellbeing, and managing people matters fairly and consistently in line with company policies.
