Job summary

A stair lift company is seeking an experienced technician to install and service stair lifts across London and the South East. You will work closely with clients, including elderly and disabled individuals, ensuring they receive the best support. A solid background in stair lift installation and excellent customer service skills are essential. The position offers a competitive salary of £31-36k with various benefits including a company van and training opportunities.

Qualifications

Job description

The company is a well established stair lift company that provides help and support to the elderly and disabled so they can lead a normal mobile life around their homes or in the office. They install stair lifts, wheelchair lifts, through‑floor lifts and chair hoists, and work with many NHS sections and housing associations across the South East. Their staff turnover is very low as engineers and office staff are well looked after and always valued.

Responsibilities
  • Cover the London and South East area.
  • Provide installation, service, maintenance, and repairs on stair lifts, through‑floor lifts for wheelchairs in people’s homes and wheelchair lifts in commercial settings.
  • Work with clients in their homes and also deal with NHS patients and housing associations.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in service, maintenance and installation of stair lifts.
  • Good customer service skills, explaining the workings of the stair lifts to elderly and disabled people in their homes.
  • Live within travelling distance to the office in Uxbridge.
Salary and Benefits
  • £31‑36k basic salary depending on experience within stair lifts.
  • Van, phone, overtime, power tools.
  • Overtime and call‑out rota.
  • 21 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays.
