Job summary

Proactive Global is recruiting for a Welder/Fabricator in Camberley, Surrey to join a leading UK manufacturing company. The role involves fabricating and welding stainless steel components, reading drawings, and maintaining quality standards in a modern engineering environment.

The ideal candidate will have TIG welding experience on stainless steel and MIG welding within an engineering setting, with strong attention to detail and a track record of producing high-quality welds.

Qualifications

• Proven TIG welding experience on stainless steel
• MIG welding experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience in an engineering workshop or fabrication environment
• Excellent attention to detail and quality standards
• Ability to produce consistent, high-quality welds
• Sheet metal fabrication experience would be advantageous

Responsibilities

• Manufacture and fabricate stainless steel to specification
• Perform TIG welding and MIG welding duties on stainless steel components
• Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately
• Ensure all products meet strict quality standards before inspection
• Support the development of improved manufacturing methods and tooling
• Assist with maintenance and upkeep of production equipment
• Contribute to the production of specialist and bespoke housing designs
