Job summary

National Theatre Productions seeks a Stage Technician Grade 5 to join the National Theatre's Stage team. This entry-to-mid level role supports early career development by working with in-house teams to produce and run shows to NT standards.

Applicants may be graduates, apprentices, or those with theatre experience from other routes. The contract aims to build skills for progression to full-time roles within the NT.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in professional theatre
• Desire to improve and broaden your skills in stage craft
• Basic awareness of stage craft, show running, flying, rigging and working at height
• Good communication skills, written and verbal
• Interest in new working practices to produce more sustainable theatre

Responsibilities

• Produce and run shows to National Theatre standards
• Work alongside NT’s permanent in-house teams on day-to-day basis
• Apply skills to develop and progress toward full-time stage technician roles
