Job summary

Royal Opera House in Covent Garden, London, is seeking a skilled Stage Technician to join the Technical, Production and Costume Department. You will work with the Stage Team to ensure rehearsals and performances meet the highest standards of safety, efficiency and quality.

Role requires experience in theatre technical work, rigging/scenic construction training, and familiarity with automated flying/elevator systems. The organisation promotes inclusive hiring and safe recruitment practices.

The role:

Our Technical, Production and Costume Department plays a leading part in ensuring our performances are of the highest quality by delivering excellence for every performance, rehearsal and event.

This role will work as an effective member of the Stage Team, working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure that activities, rehearsals and performances are carried out to the highest possible standard of safety, efficiency and quality. Our stage technicians participate in all technical work necessary for a production from pre-production to stores/workshops, to Build Area, rehearsal rooms and stage, and back to stores.

What you'll bring:
