Job summary

Fulham FC’s venue in London is seeking a Staffing Manager to lead our casual workforce across matchdays and events, ensuring the right people are in the right places at the right times.

You'll own end-to-end staffing strategy, drive workforce planning, recruitment and deployment in a fast-paced venue environment, and partner with payroll, finance and external staffing partners to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience in workforce planning, staffing, scheduling or people operations within hospitality or events.
• Experience managing large casual or flexible workforces.
• Knowledge of labour forecasting, rota management and deployment.
• Payroll administration experience and payroll submissions handling.
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
• Analytical skills with workforce management and payroll systems.
• Understanding of employment legislation and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead workforce planning for matchdays, concerts, conferences and events.
• Ensure all operational areas are resourced with trained colleagues.
• Manage labour forecasting, scheduling and deployment within budget.

What You'll Do:

• Lead workforce planning for matchdays, concerts, conferences and special events.
• Ensure all operational areas are fully resourced with talented, engaged and trained colleagues.
• Manage labour forecasting, scheduling and deployment to meet operational demands and budget expectations.
• Oversee the accurate collection, validation and submission of payroll information.
• Produce insightful workforce reports, labour analysis and staffing forecasts.
• Monitor attendance, workforce performance and staffing trends to improve reliability and reduce agency dependency.
• Build strong relationships with operational leaders, payroll, finance and external staffing partners.
• Drive recruitment and retention initiatives to maintain a sustainable and engaged casual workforce.
• Champion workforce compliance and best practice across all staffing activities.

What You Bring:

Essential

• Experience in workforce planning, staffing, scheduling or people operations within hospitality, events, stadia, leisure or other fast‑paced industries.
• Experience managing large casual or flexible workforces.
• Strong knowledge of labour forecasting, rota management and workforce deployment.
• Payroll administration experience, including managing payroll submissions and resolving payroll queries.
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship‑building skills.
• Strong analytical capability with experience using workforce management and payroll systems.
• A solid understanding of employment legislation, compliance and workforce best practice.

Desirable

• Experience within a stadium, venue, Premier League club, hospitality or large‑scale events environment.
• Experience with Humanforce, SAP, Workday or similar workforce management systems.
• CIPD qualification or equivalent HR or workforce planning experience.
• Experience delivering recruitment campaigns, open days and workforce engagement initiatives.
• Previous people leadership or team management experience.
