Job summary

Burns Sheehan Ltd are recruiting for a Staff Software Engineer (User Experiences) in London hybrid to help scale a robotics and life sciences software platform. You’ll own complex frontend experiences, focusing on React and TypeScript within a practical, fast-moving team.

You’ll collaborate with Product and Design, shape architecture, set frontend standards, and mentor engineers as the platform supports pharma and biotech workflows.

Qualifications

Design and build high-quality user experiences with React and TypeScript.
Own features end-to-end from problem to production.
Work across the stack with backend engineers and APIs.

Responsibilities

Design and build high-quality user experiences using React and TypeScript
Own features end-to-end, from understanding user problems through to designing, building and shipping solutions
Work across the stack, collaborating with backend engineers and contributing to APIs and systems where needed
Translate complex scientific workflows into intuitive product experiences
Partner with Product and Design to shape solutions in an ambiguous, early-stage environment
Help define frontend architecture, technical standards and engineering best practice
Mentor engineers and raise the quality bar across the team
Contribute to future-facing product experiences, including exploring adaptive and generative interfaces
