Job summary

Google London, UK is hiring a Staff Software Engineer for Google Health Coach to build proactive, AI-powered health platforms. You will own outcomes, lead high-impact projects, and design scalable, end-to-end software with Java, Python, Kotlin or C++ and GenAI integrations.

You will influence stakeholders, coach distributed teams, and drive architecture decisions in a fast-paced, global environment, delivering features with high velocity and quality across the health ecosystem.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
  
• Experience processing time-series, wearable/sensor, or biometric data.
• Experience with advanced GenAI paradigms, including flat agent orchestration, single-agent reasoning loops, tool-use/function calling, and agentic data grounding.
• Proven experience with evaluation frameworks and multi-agent simulation to improve and adapt non-deterministic systems.

We do this with a suite of apps, services, and health wearables. We aim to make consumer health more personal, proactive, and actionable.
