Qualifications

• 9+ years in software engineering or related discipline with production code in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Go, Ruby, Rust or Python.
• Alternate: Bachelor/Master/Doctorate + relevant years of experience as specified in the job ad.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and ship scalable GitHub services; build familiarity with owned systems; write maintainable code.
• Lead code reviews and mentor others to ensure quality and maintainability across products.
• Coordinate with product owners to define, prioritize, and deliver projects meeting business goals.
• Maintain live services operations on on-call rotations and implement mitigations for performance issues.
