Job description
Who We Are

Verily is a subsidiary of Alphabet that is using a data‑driven approach to change the way people manage their health and the way healthcare is delivered. Launched from Google X in 2015, our purpose is to bring the promise of precision health to everyone, every day. We are focused on generating and activating data from a variety of sources, including clinical, social, behavioral and the real world, to arrive at the best solutions for a person based on a comprehensive view of the evidence. Our unique expertise and capabilities in technology, data science and healthcare enable the entire healthcare ecosystem to drive better health outcomes.

Description

In this highly influential and interconnected Staff Product Manager role on Verily’s Research Solutions team, you will define the vision, roadmap, and execution strategy for research site- and sponsor-facing solutions that drive automation, interoperability, evidence generation, and stronger collaboration across the many organizations involved in healthcare research. Your work will directly shape how Verily accelerates clinical trials, scales precision health solutions, and delivers impact across the healthcare ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the end‑to‑end product strategy, roadmap, and execution for site‑ and sponsor‑facing solutions – including solutions that enable better collaboration between these institutions – in alignment with Verily’s vision for its research portfolio, platform capabilities, and overall company priorities.

  • Explore the feasibility and value of a Verily‑facilitated “Trial Marketplace” that helps sponsors better discover, qualify, and engage with the appropriate research sites to operate their studies.

  • Identify, define, and prioritize integration opportunities between Verily’s Site CTMS product and the other systems involved in healthcare research studies to improve operational efficiency and customer and end‑user experience.

  • Translate complex customer and operational needs into high‑impact product capabilities, influencing both internal platform architecture and external partnerships.

  • Partner with senior engineering, product, UX, and clinical leaders to lead cross‑functional design and execution across multiple product areas, balancing near‑term delivery with long‑term innovation and platform scalability.

  • Establish and track success metrics to measure adoption, data quality, and business impact – informing continuous improvement and strategic investment decisions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field.

  • 8+ years of product management experience, including leadership of complex, data‑centric, or enterprise platform products.

  • Deep domain knowledge in clinical research, trial design, or healthcare operations, with familiarity with CTMS, EHR, EDC, and eConsent systems.

  • Experience defining product strategies and overseeing execution of complex technology platform integrations, ideally in healthcare or life sciences.

  • Strong experience collaborating with engineering teams in Agile environments and translating complex requirements into clear product specifications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree, MBA, or equivalent advanced degree.

  • Significant experience building products or solutions for clinical research sponsors or sites.

  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast‑paced, ambiguous, and rapidly changing startup environments.

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for influencing diverse stakeholders.

  • Proven experience with data‑driven decision‑making and platform strategy in healthcare or life sciences contexts.
