Introduction to the role and team

At Bumble Inc., we’re on a mission to create a world where relationships are healthy and equitable — and Bumble Date is where that mission began. As our flagship product, Bumble Date empowers women to make the first move and fosters connections built on kindness, respect, and authenticity.

As a Staff Product Manager on Bumble Date, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of modern dating. You’ll define and drive the strategy for a high-impact product area — turning human insight, cultural understanding, and emerging technology into meaningful experiences that help millions find real connections. You’ll work closely with a talented cross-functional team across Product, Design, Engineering, and Data, championing our Bumble values of Courage, Curiosity, and Respect in everything you create.

What You\'ll Do
  • Own and evolve the strategy across multiple interconnected areas of Bumble Date — setting the long-term vision while ensuring short-term impact.
  • Translate insights from data, research, and member feedback into clear priorities and compelling product experiences.
  • Prototype, test, and iterate using AI-assisted tools to explore new dating experiences, improve personalization, and enhance safety and trust features.
  • Collaborate closely with fellow Product Managers, Design, Product Marketing and Engineering to build and launch innovative, high-quality features that reflect Bumble’s commitment to empowering women and promoting healthy relationships.
  • Define success metrics and use data to inform decisions, learning quickly and adapting with agility as you scale your impact.
  • Influence product direction across Bumble Date by framing bold ideas, sharing best practices, and mentoring PMs in product thinking and strategic decision-making.
  • Partner with Marketing, Trust & Safety, and Growth teams to align launches with user and brand strategy.
  • Role model Bumble’s values — particularly Courage and Respect — in how you make decisions, collaborate, and represent the voice of our members.
  • Apply our core competencies: collaborate with purpose, take ownership, and adapt plans with an agile mindset.
  • Coach PMs and cross-functional partners in strategic thinking and member-first product development.
About You
  • You have deep experience as a consumer product manager, ideally within social, dating, or community-driven products.
  • You’re both visionary and hands-on — equally comfortable defining long-term strategy and rolling up your sleeves to drive execution.
  • You have a strong understanding of user psychology, motivation, and behavior in digital relationships.
  • You’re fluent in experimentation and discovery practices, with an ability to balance member needs, safety, and business growth.
  • You’re confident using AI tools to prototype new experiences, test ideas, or analyze user insights — and you bring creative ideas for applying AI to product development.
  • You’re a thoughtful communicator who can align diverse stakeholders around a shared goal and narrative.
  • You demonstrate curiosity, empathy, and resilience, with a commitment to building inclusive, empowering experiences for all users.
  • AI fluency: independently uses and prototypes with AI tools to accelerate discovery, design, or testing; shares learnings and champions adoption within the product team.
  • This role will shape how millions experience confidence and connection on Bumble, redefining what healthy digital relationships look like.
  • Typically requires 8–12 years of experience, though we welcome candidates with alternative backgrounds that demonstrate equivalent skills.

$215,000 - $245,000 a year

AI in Bumble Hiring

At Bumble, we may use AI tools to support parts of our recruitment process — such as helping us record, transcribe, and summarize conversations, and supporting job alignment by comparing resumes and job descriptions to highlight skills and potential roles that may be a good match. These tools help us work more efficiently and stay focused on you during our conversations. Importantly, all hiring decisions are made by people. AI is used only to support our team’s efficiency and improve the candidate experience — not to evaluate or decide on your candidacy. Participation in AI-supported interviews and conversations is completely voluntary and will not impact your candidacy. If you’d prefer to opt out, simply let your recruiter or interviewer know at the start of a call, or anytime during the interview or conversation. Summaries and related data are retained only as long as needed in line with our internal data retention policies. If at any point you’d like a transcription or summary deleted, please contact your recruiter directly.
