Overview

Staff Nurse - Ward (Bank) Exeter Hospital | Ward | Bank | Ad Hoc | Includes weekend work • Up to £21.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Be flexible, motivated, an excellent communicator and team worker
  • Join a close-knit team headed by the matron on a consultant-led ward
  • Fully understand and pay close attention to each patient’s needs
  • Work directly with clinical staff and gain experience with new practices, equipment and facilities
  • Collaborate with practitioners across other departments to ensure continuity in patient care

Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital is based next to the RD&E hospital in Wonford, Exeter. The hospital has 2 theatres, a hybrid cardiac catheter laboratory/theatre and an Endoscopy suite, with inpatient and day-case wards. We offer elective orthopaedic and spinal surgery, cardiology, general surgery, plastics and cosmetic surgery, ENT and gynaecology, and operate MAKO joint replacement equipment. Job responsibilities

As a Ward Staff Nurse, you will:

  • Assist in delivering high-quality patient care on a consultant-led ward
  • Be alert, focused, detail-oriented and empathetic; maintain registration with the appropriate governing body (including NMC)
  • Contribute to a positive team culture and patient experience
Qualifications and Experience
  • Registered nurse with current registration with the appropriate governing body (e.g., NMC)
  • Post-registration experience and a patient-focused approach
