Ward A5 - the dedicated Neck of Femur (NOF) Unit at Wythenshawe Hospital, part of Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust - is seeking an experienced or newly qualified Registered Nurse to join our friendly and dynamic team.

Ward A5 is a busy orthopaedic ward delivering high-quality care to both elective and trauma patients, with a strong focus on patient experience, safety, and rehabilitation.

Main Duties of the Job
  • Responsible for assessing, planning, delivering and evaluating all aspects of high-quality patient care in a compassionate, sensitive and person-centred manner. They will work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure safe and effective care delivery, and actively contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement and the continuous development of the service.
  • Act as a mentor and preceptor to junior staff, with specific responsibility for supporting pre-registration nursing students and contributing to their learning and development.
  • Take delegated responsibility for coordinating the clinical team on a shift-by-shift basis, ensuring the maintenance of high nursing standards, effective resource management, and a positive, safe environment for patients and staff.
