Job summary

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Ward Manager to oversee patient care within a clinical team. The role focuses on delivering timely and appropriate care, ensuring discharge planning is safe, and maintaining adherence to NHS and professional standards.

You will work with Allied Health Professionals to coordinate care, manage medication timing, and contribute to research and audit activities within the Trust.

Responsibilities

• Work within a team to ensure patients receive timely and appropriate care.
• Utilise Allied Health Professionals support and guidance to promote safe, timely discharge.
• Maintain knowledge to ensure compliance with NMC requirements.
• Support patient activities of daily living while ensuring safe and appropriate care.
• Coordinate with AHPs to ensure timely patient care.
• Ensure prescribed medications are provided at the correct times.
• Participate in research and audit activities.
• Keep knowledge up to date via the Trust system.
• Collaborate with Trust initiatives.

• Providing patient care and ensuring all activities of daily living are maintained whilst ensuring the patient receives safe and appropriate care.
• Linking with all AHP's ensuring the patient receives timely and appropriate.
• Ensuring the patient receives their prescribed medications at the correct time.
• Participating in a research and audit completion.
• Ensuring all knowledge is recorded and up to date via the Trust system.
• Working with all AHP's ensuring patient care is provided safely and timely.
• Participating in all research and audit for the Trust.
• Participating in all Trust iniatives.
