Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS FT offers a challenging Band 5 nursing position in Ward 24 within the Integrated Medicine and Patient Flow Division. A dedicated training and development nurse supports ongoing growth; both internal and external courses are available to help you develop to your full potential.

Responsabilidades

• Work as a registered nurse within a ward team in the Integrated Medicine and Patient Flow Division.
• Prioritise and deliver nursing care and assessment as needed.
• Demonstrate high standards of care and set examples of best practice.
• Liaise with other departments to ensure patient care is delivered.
• Maintain patient safety, privacy and dignity at all times.
• Support the nurse in charge and coordinate ward needs with other departments.
• Develop to take charge of the ward and oversee admissions and transfers.

Job summary

The learning and development opportunities are vast with a dedicated training and development nurse in the department. We offer both internal and external courses to help you to develop to your full potential in nursing.

We consider Ward 24 to be an innovative creative and friendly environment for those nurses who wish to provide high quality patient centred care.

Main duties of the job

• To work as a registered nurse within a ward team within the Integrated Medicine and Patient Flow Division.


• To prioritise and deliver nursing care and assessment as needed.


• To demonstrate high standards of care and set examples of best practise within the delivery of patient care.


• To liaise with other departments and staff to ensure that patient care is delivered.


• To ensure patients' safety, privacy and dignity is maintained at all times.


• To support the nurse in charge of the ward and liaise with other departments and professionals to ensure that the needs of the ward are met.


• Following appropriate development to take charge of the ward and oversee patient admissions and transfers and the care delivered by other staff.


• To undertake such duties as from time to time determined by the Unit Manager and/or Head Nurse.
