Job summary

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the General Surgery team on Ward 16. This Band 5, full-time post offers 37.5 hours per week, with arranged development within an experienced multidisciplinary team.

You will provide high standards of nursing care, participate in planning and evaluation, and work under the NMC Code. The role requires current UK registration and a commitment to patient-centred care within the NHS.

Qualifications

Main duties of the job

The postholder will be responsible and accountable for the assessment, planning,delivery and evaluation of nursing care.Work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team and undertake delegated tasks fromthe ward sister/charge nurse.Following successful completion of foundation gateway will be required to takecharge of ward/department for a span of duty.The postholder will always work within the NMC's Code of Professional Conduct.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Participate in maintaining a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for all patients and carers and maintain highest standards of nursing care.
• Determines nursing priorities and plans patient care. Informs the nurse incharge when changes in circumstances may affect patient care.
