Staff Nurse We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our Outpatients department at The London Clinic in Central London, W1G 7JL. Job Profile:

We are looking for an enthusiastic Staff Nurse to join our Outpatients department based between various sites on Devonshire Place London.

  • Job Type: This is a full-time, permanent position.
  • Shifts Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Saturday
  • Salary: Band 5 Equivalent

Key Duties
  • Take responsibility for individualised patient care as appropriate working closely with the Consultants, nursing colleagues and clerical staff.
  • Ensure legibility and accuracy of nursing records and be aware of the legal implications of these documents.
  • Ensure the provision of excellent evidence-based care for patients.
  • Co-ordinate and assist Minor Gynae/Colposcopy/Hysteroscopy/ENT Clinics independently.
  • To act as patient advocate and a chaperone, ensuring privacy, dignity and confidentiality are met.
  • Ensure clinical practice complies with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Participate in the setting of professional standards, quality assurance and clinical audit programmes.
  • Attend and maintain mandatory updates and any external training as appropriate.
  • Encourage confidence from consultants and patients through effective performance, communication and working relationships.
Skills and Experience
  • Level 1 RN with revalidation in place
  • NMC registered
  • Minimum over 3 years surgical experience in at least one specific surgical speciality, ideally Gynaecology, ENT/Dermatology or Colorectal
  • Proven experience in wound management
