Job description
Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Registered Nurse to join our versatile dedicated team of nurses on the Day Surgery Unit Ward 18 to provide a safe and efficient service to surgical patients.

The unit is a 5‑day service working Monday to Friday 7.30 to 20.00.

Responsibilities
  • Providing excellent care to adult day‑case patients undergoing General Surgery, ENT, Urology, Community Dental, Colorectal Surgery, Gynaecology and Trauma surgery.
  • Supporting patients through the journey on the Day Surgery Unit from admission to discharge or in pre‑assessment.
  • Working as a competent member of the Day Surgery team, maintaining a high standard of patient care under the direction of senior staff.
  • Taking delegated responsibility in a given shift for adult patients, working in accordance with Nursing / Midwifery standards and Trust policies.
  • Maintaining documentation and quality standards consistent with NHS guidelines.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Registered Nurse with relevant nursing registration.
