A leading healthcare organization in Chelmsford is seeking a dynamic Band 5 Nurse to join their Paediatric A&E and Assessment Unit team. The role requires a proactive individual skilled in triaging and providing high-quality care to children and young people. Paediatric A&E and Paediatric Assessment Unit are looking for a dynamic, forward-thinking Band 5 Nurse to join an already established team.
Although our two departments are separate, we work closely together providing care to children and young people in both areas. In the assessment unit, we currently see patients referred for clinical assessment and/or treatment of surgical, medical or orthopaedic conditions from various sources, including GP's, A&E and Community Midwives. We also have plastics, ENT and maxfax specialities within this trust.
You should be a proactive, enthusiastic, and a motivated individual who will be skilled to work in both areas and begin to develop further skills to be able to effectively look after children and young people seeing our service.
You will gain skills such as triaging, cannulation, plaster application and wound care. You will be working alongside a nurse in charge and ensuring a good and positive journey through each area, providing the highest quality and standard of care to medical and surgical patients. You will be trained on ensuring all patients are safeguarded and relevant multi-disciplinary teams are involved where appropriate.
