Overview

Exciting Opportunity: Band 5 Registered Nurse – Ambulatory Emergency Care Unit

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Band 5 Adult Registered Nurse to join our Medical SDEC. If you have experience in acute medical care or emergency services and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this could be the perfect role for you.

Responsibilities
  • Triage acute medical referrals
  • Assessment planning and intervention in the management of acute medical patients
  • Provide same-day emergency care, prompt safety and efficient management and discharge
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team to provide high quality care
Shift patterns

Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM

Saturday & Sunday: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM

About the role and team

As part of our multidisciplinary team—including nurses, doctors, advanced nurse practitioners, medical technical assistants, and emergency healthcare assistants—you will play a vital role in providing timely assessments and management for acute medical patients.

Our unit receives direct referrals from GPs, Local Ambulance Service and the Emergency Department, ensuring efficient patient pathways and helping to prevent unnecessary hospital admissions.
