A regional healthcare provider is seeking a registered nurse to join the Lung Cancer Screening Service. This pivotal role includes assessing eligibility for risk assessments, managing patient records, and ensuring effective communication with patients. Dorset County Hospital is recruiting a registered nurse to work with Dorset's Lung Cancer Screening Service.
The service is a Lung cancer screening programme which invites participants aged between 55 - 74 years old who either smoke currently or have smoked previously for a lung health check.
The NHS long term plan published in 2019 established a plan to diagnose 75% of people with cancer at an early stage by 2028, and this post will support the setting up and implementing of a lung health screening programme across Dorset.
This is a pivotal role, and will support the team to establish a pan Dorset wide Lung Cancer Screening by providing administrative support.
