The Band 5 Interventional Radiology Nurse is responsible for delivering safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic interventional radiology procedures.
Working within the multidisciplinary team, the post holder provides high-quality care before, during, and after procedures while ensuring patient safety, dignity, and comfort.
The nurse is accountable for practising in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Code, Trust policies, and current evidence-based practice.
The post holder undertakes comprehensive patient assessments, prepares patients physically and psychologically for procedures, and ensures all necessary documentation, investigations, and pre-procedure checks are completed.
