Job Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity available at the Royal Cornwall Hospital for a Registered Nurse to join our committed team in the Fracture Clinic. We see a large range of patients with broken bones or post op. We have a very busy dressings clinic so an interest in wound care would be an advantage.

Responsibilities
  • To work as a skilled member of the nursing team.
  • To provide a high standard of compassionate patient‑centred care.
  • To lead and supervise the work of other qualified and unqualified staff within the team.
  • To communicate effectively at all levels within the multi‑disciplinary team.
  • To be able to take charge of the clinic in the absence of senior nursing staff, as deemed appropriate by the Clinic Sister / Charge Nurse or Clinical Matron.
Working Hours

Mon 08:30 – 18:30
Tues – Fri 08:30 – 16:30
Some weekend work 07:00 – 14:00

  • Excellent communication skills and good knowledge and understanding of clinical standards.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and be an excellent team player.
  • Motivation to develop the highest standards of care and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Ability and determination to learn and gain new skills and competencies.
