A healthcare provider in South West London is seeking a Band 5 Staff Nurse for the Gynaecology Outpatients Department. You will deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to women, manage a team of Nursing Assistants, and contribute to service improvement. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and clinical competence. This role is vital for ensuring safety, dignity, and high-quality patient care in an outpatient setting.
As a Band 5 Staff Nurse in the Gynaecology Outpatients Department, you will play a vital role in delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred care to women attending for investigations, treatments, and consultations. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support patients through their outpatient journey, ensuring safety, dignity, and compassion at all times.
You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care, while supporting patients with a range of gynaecological conditions including fertility issues, menstrual disorders, early pregnancy complications, and oncology follow‑ups. You will assist in clinics, minor procedures, and diagnostic investigations, ensuring infection control and safeguarding standards are upheld.
This role requires excellent communication skills, clinical competence, and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment. You will also contribute to service improvement initiatives, patient education, and support junior staff and students.
